1890 restored farmhouse 100ft back on banks of the Union River in Ellsworth. This home has recently been remodeled and offers 4 bedrooms and one full bath on the 2nd floor and ½ bath on the first floor where you will also find a living room, dining room, kitchen, kitchen nook and a three season porch overlooking the river and Ellsworth Harbor Marina. (At the Marina you can watch live concerts from your own back yard every Friday night during the summer.) From the porch you can watch eagles soar and seals bask on the rocks. Bring your kayaks as the Union River is the perfect spot for kayaking or canoeing as you have about 3.5 miles before the open ocean. Fishing is everywhere from fresh water to salt water! The town of Ellsworth is a nice blend of old and new and is the gateway to Downeast Maine and Bar Harbor / Acadia National Park. From the house you can walk to the old downtown where there are shops, restaurants, library, The Grand Theatre, martial arts and much more! In less than half a mile you walk or drive to the mall which services all of downeast Maine. From the property you can take days trips to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor or to the new Casino in Bangor.
