This turn-of-the-century Maine summer home is gracious, magnificent and huge. With 5000sf and 2 acres of lawn, this 6 bedroom, 4.25 bath cottage is perfect for family reunions, weddings, bridal showers or social gatherings. Breathtaking views across the water, facing south, of Frenchman Bay and the mountains of Mount Desert Island. Deep water with a fabulous 200ft dock is great for diving off at high tide or launching your family kayak expedition. There is a public boat launching ramp adjacent to the property for your watercraft. Conveniently located beside a quaint and small inn which would lend itself for any overflow guests. The house has kept its ambiance of the days gone by. Very large rooms with fireplaces throughout the house. A fully remodeled modern kitchen, living room with baby grand piano, den, foyer, office, laundry room and formal dining room are located on the first floor. All bedrooms are located on the second floor. A spacious, sunny, spectacular screened in/glass porch that runs the whole length of the waterside of the house invites cocktail parties, luncheons, or just plain relaxing with a book. A heads-up for parents with small children: the lawn rolls down to a 35-foot drop to the water. However, there is easy access to the water via the boat launching ramp. **NO PETS** Runs Sunday to Sunday and maximum occupancy is 12.
