Ellsworth is a great spot from which to explore the beauty and culture of Downeast Maine. Here you will find various small shops, restaurants, music festivals, concerts and fairs all summer long and don't forget to visit the restored theater which hosts live events and independent films! Ellsworth is also the gateway to three special areas: Mount Desert Island with Bar Harbor and the wonders of mountains meeting the sea at Acadia National Park; the beautiful Blue Hill Peninsula and Deer Isle, abounding in picturesque villages and art and craft galleries; and Schoodic Peninsula, a less known, but not-to-be-missed part of Acadia Park. Graham Lake is a large, peaceful lake, perfect for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. It is 12 miles long with a wooded shoreline and is one mile wide across from this cottage. The 400 feet of waterfrontage starts out shallow and the water is warm, allowing for fun in the water. The house sits on 3 acres of land with a lawn for games (supplied) and trees for sitting beneath. There is a deck with table and chairs and a screened gazebo with table and chairs. The deck faces the morning sun, making it lovely in the shade in the afternoon. The property is completely private, you cannot see any neighbors. This fully furnished house sleeps 8, with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths--one bedroom and bath are on the first floor; living room, den area, fully equipped kitchen and dining area. There is Direct TV with DVR and high-speed satellite internet service. Easy access—property is on a paved road. Private—house is set back from road and shielded by a stand of woods.
