This late 1800s 3rd generation family owned vacation home is tucked away on 4+ beautiful acres and sits on its own private cove. Meticulously landscaped with meadows, gardens, deep water frontage, dock and 2 moorings. This 4 bedroom / 2 bath holds that much desired Maine rustic charm and is by far the best Maine summer vacation hideaway where you take the family away from all of the stresses of life. No traffic, no beeping horns, no loud music thumping going by and best of all no neighbors, instead you will enjoy serenity and quietness of mother nature. Watch for the sights of seals, porpoises, overspray nesting nearby on channel markers and listen to the sounds of the ocean waves crashing up against the rocks. Interested in witnessing the most gorgeous sunrises? Look no further for this is Maine at its finest! The house retains its history with all the beautiful antiques, photos and painting. Inside the fabulous kitchen you will find a functional antique parlor stove as well as all of the modern amenities. Sitting room, dining room, living room, bedroom and full bath are also found on the first floor. Upstairs you will find a queen bedroom, bath and open studio space so bring your easels, canvases and paint brushes and get ready to be inspired. The whole house offers hardwood floors throughout as well as various memorizing paintings painted by a local Maine artist. You will feel right at home here and once you stay you will want to return for it will be hard to stay for just one week! In our opinion the entire summer would not be enough time to take in all of its natural beauty. There is so much to explore in a fairy tale style forest of 20 meticulously kept acres that surrounds the property- walk/hike miles in any direction. If you come by your own boat be prepare to take a lot of time to explore the many small surrounding islands. Once you arrive you will not want to leave. This property is 100% private!
