Sitting back 100 feet off the Atlantic Ocean, Dragonwood Castle offers 200 feet of water frontage with sunset reflections across the bay onto Prospect Harbor light house. Facing east this very private and unusually charming castle sits on 6.7 acres. Inside its 2100 s/f are 3 decorative levels of living space plus a small tarot that over looks the ocean with clear open views. With 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, this property has a lot more to offer than its comfortable sleeping accommodations, including reading/napping alcoves, lounging sofas, and three story windows from which to spy the bald eagles which have taken up residence nearby. You might also find yourself fascinated by the dioramas in several of the windows, depicting medieval scenes (castles, dragons and the like). As you approach the drawbridge-like wooden walkway that leads to the front door, you?ll notice that the whimsical but solid twelve-sided house is built of natural local materials, including rough honed granite used to make the full story non working fireplace, main floor bathroom (inside the shower too!), and main supporting column in the center of the home. One flight up the stair tower will take you to two loft-style bedrooms. One has a queen size bed, and crib; the other loft, which can be accessed either by walking through the queen size room or by going through the shared full bathroom/laundry room, contains two twin beds and one sleeping alcove. Each of these accommodations has views to the exterior through three stories of windows, as well as over-the-railing views of the interior to the lower level television/lounging area. The second floor then is an airy and open area, perfect for parents wanting to stay abreast of household activities. The third floor is a bedroom all of its own containing a King bed and toddler bed, and half bath. It also has access to a cozy exterior balcony with lovely water views. This house is full of charm and uniqueness.
